Dreamist Butterfly Sky, 'Tina' 20 April 97 - 20 February 07

Tina sadly left us on the 20 February 2007, given sleep to prevent further suffering

I was told when Tina was a puppy that she was too big to ever do well in the show ring, but that she would make a good brood bitch. Quite the opposite in fact, because Tina was neutered after having her second litter of puppies, as we nearly lost her during her second cesarean section. Ten weeks later i remember taking her to an Open show and she won her class. She was a little big for a bitch but so attractive and with such lovely sound movement. She wasn't shown very often though and it wasn't long, due to her being neutered that her coat had to be controlled by clipping, so Tina then became a much loved, stay at home pet. At home she was always the boss, the other dogs followed her around. When we went out walking, where ever she went, the rest followed. I knew when Tina was with us that the other dogs would behave themselves and not wander away too far, she was usually close by me. Grandmother to our Holly who has done so well in the show ring and who reminds me very much of Tina in her personality. Holly is the only one of our dogs who ever tried to push Tina out of the *TOP* spot but never with any success. Tina will be sadly missed by us all.
