Judge Mr Reg Bunting
Sophie did well again today with a third placing in the minor puppy bitch class. We had a lovely day and the weather was beautiful, sunny and warm.
Our six and a half months baby 'Sophie,' Dreamist Shine On has qualified for Crufts at her first Championship show, with a third placing in minor puppy bitch, i am so proud of her she was a little star!
Shauney and Harvey were shown today and both did well, Harvey was third in Cocker Spaniel Post Graduate and Shauney was first in Cocker Spaniel Open.
It was was brought to my attention on Sunday that a breeder in Wales has been advertising a puppy for sale using a photo of our lovely Sophie 'Dreamist Shine On'. I won't mention the site that the advert is appearing on but it is a haven for puppy farmers and commercial breeders.
This advert States that the puppy in question is from good working lines, it also states that neither parent can be seen and beneath is a photo of our Sophie! As Sophie is show type and looks nothing like a working Cocker it makes me wonder if the breeder even knows the difference?? Please be aware of anyone advertising puppies for sale in this way and never buy a puppy from any breeder who can't at least show you the mother of the puppies.
All photo's on my website are copyright. I don't mind anyone having a photo if they ask me so long as it isn't used for advertising!
Thank you.
We haven't had much time lately to get out to any shows so it was nice to be able to make our way to Leeds today to show Harvey at his first show Otley Open.
There were no breed classes scheduled for Cockers so we had to enter Harvey into AVNSC and AV classes. Harvey has only attended a handful of training classes and as he is now eleven months old and quite a handful! i wasn't sure how he was going to behave, i shouldn't have worried though as he was brilliant and showed himself off like he had done it all before. Harvey was placed first in AVNSC gundog puppy, best AVNSC puppy and reserve best AVNSC. We then went into the gundog puppy group and Harvey was given puppy group three. Harvey was also placed first in AV puppy gundog. A lovely start to showing Harvey, and great to see he enjoyed himself too.

Today was our first show for around six months. I had entered Abby and Shauney, but Abby decided to come into season last week so couldn't go. Jennifer handled 'Shauney' and i watched, they both went so well together and 'Shauney' was awarded best Cocker puppy then fourth in the gundog puppy group, also first in AV gundog puppy. I am so proud of them both!
